I woke up early this morning albeit begrudgingly. It’s overcast and just one of those days where you want to snuggle down on the couch. But as part of my morning routine, I went out onto my deck in the back of the house. I do this every morning to watch the birds and drink my coffee while I wake up.

This time, I found a surprise. I have a new roommate!! At first I thought she would be nervous and run but she looked at me as if to say “go brush your hair”. I think if she stays, we are going to have to talk about her bathroom ettiquette! There she was, doing what comes natural for all the world to see!

Now immediately after, she proceeded to rummage around and eat anything she could get her lips around. I mean she ate non stop for at least 30 minutes. Ok…so we need to talk about splitting cost of food I think.

She made her rounds through the new digs and tasted everything she could. Well almost everything. I stopped her when she reached my new baby fruit trees. I clapped my hands and she just looked at me. I tossed light weight kindling from my firewood pile, which she just looked at and then looked at me to say “you throw like a girl”. Nothing phased her and I even yelled. She shrugged and strolled past my trees giving up on them for a nice little snooze. After all, the food coma had set in.

She left me with instructions to wake her up in a hour because she has appointments to keep. LOL
